 Mitra played the live-action model of Lara Croft, the lead character in Eidos Interactive's Tomb Raider video game series prior to when Angelina Jolie took the role for the two Tomb Raider films (2001-2003). Mitra was ranked as. 46 in Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2000. She was Christopher Lambert's love interest in Beowulf. She was Scott Wolf's shady lover in Party of Five, her first big role. Mitra had a small role in Hollow Man, a film about a neighbor who gets brutally murdered and raped by Kevin Bacon. Mitra played the lead role in the film as Alejandra Klein in Gideon's Crossing's Medical Drama. Following that, Mitra had roles in Ali G Indahouse's Sweet Home Alabama, Stuck on You and also a leading role in Highwaymen, Spartacus, and in the film "The The Practice". Mitra appeared in the finale season of The Practice as Tara Wilson and reprised the role throughout its spin-off Boston Legal, but left not long into the season's second. Mitra played Kit McGraw in season 3 of Nip/Tuck , 2005. Mitra was later cast in Skinwalkers and The Number 23 as well as a Shooter. Mitra also starred as Major Eden Sinclair in 2008's science action/fantasy flick Doomsday. Mitra, who can be mistakenly identified as Caryn Parkerson in certain databases she made her debut on Underworld Rise of the Lycans in 2009. In 2009 she was cast in the role of Sonja who was the powerful vampire elder Viktor. Mitra was fond of her vampire fangs throughout filming.
